This author offers insight into how important it is to seek out a good consultant and how difficult that can be. He offers a three week look into the positive and negative sides to consulting. He does not believe that all consultants are qualified or successful but is a consultant himself and believes in what they do. Schmaltz warns people that they should do a “dedication test” before they sign a contract with a consultant. The article also goes into why people use consultants as well as why people consult. He believes consultants have the power to do great things with companies if they are done right.
